The maxi skirt
The maxi skirt continues to see a fashion resurgence. A favorite of Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy’s in the ’90s, the column maxi skirt in particular is enjoying a major moment back in the spotlight – and it happens to be one of Monikh Dale’s wardrobe essentials, too. “I think a long piece worn with something oversized tucked in looks laid-back and effortless but incredibly chic,” says Dale, revealing that she loves to play with proportion when styling. Follow her lead by wearing The Frankie Shop’s ‘Malvo’ skirt with a tomato-red knit, swapping it for something lighter when the weather warms. “Looking ahead to this summer, I will be teaming my maxi skirts with simple tank tops – St. Agni has a slightly asymmetrical gray one that I’m hoping to get my hands on soon,” adds Dale. If, however, the straight-cut column silhouette is not for you, try something with more volume and movement.
